We have a dream for a safe place where students can gather to hang out, be themselves, do homework, enjoy music, art, games and food, and create the kind of community where all people are valued and cared for.
What will the Student Center look like? 3 Big rooms and a kitchen. Lots of space to hang out--with couches, game tables, a big multi-media center, computers--maybe even an artist's nook and a music room--we're still in the planning stages. But it will be created by and for students--and it will rock!
Who are you? We are the students and leaders of Real Life--a group of passionate high school students who want to make a difference in our community.
Where is this happening? At Pleasant Street Church--on the corner of Cross St. and Pleasant St. behind the Northbridge Middle School. You may have been to a concert in our hall.
When is this happening? This summer! All summer long students will be working together to plan, design and create a space with students in mind!
When will the Student Center open its doors? Hopefully when school starts next fall.
When will it actually be open? After school, as often as it can be staffed.
What's the catch? No catch. You'll never be charged anything. There's no hidden agenda. It's just our gift to you.
How can I get involved? I thought you'd never ask! We'd love to have as many students involved in putting this together as possible. Throughout the summer there will be brainstorming sessions and work days. You can submit an idea any time, drop by for a tour, or join in the adventure of building the dream from scratch.
E-mail or call Pastor Bill at 508-234-0596 for more information, or stay tuned to this web site throughout the summer.
